OOps- I forgot to blog...

Ok, so I forgot that I had this blog, but just noticed it sitting here and thought I better do some work on it.

We are up to week 3 in the 12wbt challenge! I say "we" because I'm not alone. You see, it turns out that there are some unbelievably supportive, kind, caring and super friendly people, who have started on this journey with me. They are my 12wbt family.

I have found the support from these like minded people, to be extremely helpful, especially when life can get you down, and all you feel like doing is picking up a big block of chocolate and stuffing your face with it... All  I have to do is log into the forums, or onto Twitter or Facebook, and they are there! My little support group...

Anyway, about my progress...

I am absolutely loving all of the new foods I've been cooking and especially the fact that I dont have to think about what I'm going to shop for, or cook every night. It's all there set out for me. I do the shopping on Sunday and then have everything there ready to go each day. . .

This week (since last Wednesday), I lost 1.9kg's, which I am extremely happy with!! Having said that, I worked my a** off too.

I started running again, and increased my normal 4km walk, to an 8km walk/run, which has increased my calorie burn and started killing off some of the weight.

I've been in Melbourne, back home this week and thought it would be alot harder to keep the weight off, but I've been really good and have been eating very clean!

Total weight loss to date on the program is 3.5kgs (in 3 weeks).

I've joined up.... what now?

Woo hoo- I've taken the plunge- I've made the huge step of joining Michelle Bridges- 12 Week Body Transformation (or 12WBT).

For those of you who are curious- here's the link www.12wbt.com

Round 3 of the program commences on 20th September, so you still have time to join up (if you haven't already). . .

So, I thought i'd start a blog, to show my progress (let's hope that there actually is some progress). It will be a good way to look back, to stay motivated and to keep you all up to date with where I am also at.

My 12 week goal is to lose between 10-12kgs and to be able to run 5kms.

I would also like to get my BMI into the healthy range for my height.

I have a very full on family history of heart disease, diabetes and cancer in both my Mum and Dads families, so it's really important to me to be able to lose this weight and to get myself healthy!!

I look forward to sharing my journey along the way with you all.  . .
